Applications Open to Teams – Applied Human Factors in Healthcare for Teams Programme

We’re looking for teams of five members to join us for an in-depth programme into how to improve patient safety through reducing risk in everyday behaviour and tasks.

Human factors describes understanding how everyday human error and behaviours can impact on the safety and quality of patient care.

Starting in March, our five-day Applied Human Factors in Healthcare programme is designed to give teams a thorough understanding of human factors, and support them to apply their knowledge to a specific safety challenge within own service and environment.

This is an exciting chance for teams of multi-disciplinary / multi-organisation members looking to better understand the effectiveness of human factors, to work alongside some of the leading human factors and patient safety experts throughout the North West.

The programme will take place on the following dates:
  • Monday 6 March
  • Wednesday 22 March
  • Tuesday 4 April
  • Friday 21 April
  • Tuesday 9 May
Applications are open to teams of five members and at least two of these must have a basic understanding of human factors. Please note, that all team members must be available to attend all five dates.

To apply, please download and complete the application form and return to the above email address by the end of Monday 20 February.

For more information, please download the programme flyer, or contact Rose.O’Reilly@srft.nhs.uk or call 0161 206 8680.
